Just a quick note to say that I am going into a retreat for the next few days so I won’t be posting anything. Early meditation, yoga, guided self-inquiry, rest, mindful walking, singing of Bhajans at sunset, etc. (FYI for any of you who think you can’t afford India, the suggested donation for the retreat is $7/day including 3 meals a day and lodging!) I’m just really needing to take care of myself and relax and this seems like the perfect way to do so. Got a wonderful massage yesterday from Carolina, a fellow traveler recommended to me here in Tiruvannamalai. She really was great. When she asked what I was looking for in a massage, I told her that I was feeling run-down and that my body was “thirsty” for touch. When the massage was over, she asked me how I was feeling and the word “thankful” emerged.
Considering traveling to Varanasi at some point, but trying to just let the thought be there and not a plan. Would rather allow the magic to appear as it so often does here. Perhaps an invite from someone to go somewhere, or a magical call will sound, like the call to prayer that wafted over this town from the Muslims early early this morning.
